The PREPARED Project - Planning for Resilience in East Africa
through Policy, Adaptation, Research, and Economic Development
Tetra Tech ARD is recruiting for several positions to support the USAID funded Planning for Resilience in East Africa through Policy, Adaptation, Research, and Economic Development (PREPARED) Project.
It is a five-year,
multi-organization, comprehensive program focusing on climate change adaption,
biodiversity conservation and water supply and sanitation.
Wash Technical Advisor
The water, sanitation and hygiene
(WASH) Technical Advisor is responsible for planning, implementing and managing
all WASH related activities for PREPARED.
S/he will work with the WASH Task
Force and forge diverse partnerships to strengthen inter-institutional
coordination between PREPARED, local government units, and service providers
for increased access to WASH services in the Lake Victoria Basin.
S/he will be responsible for the
implementation of non-revenue water (NRW) activities in the participating
Partner States.
Requisite Qualifications:
·
Minimum of 10 years of practical
experience in WASH in East Africa and seven (7) years’ experience in
Engineering, Planning and/or Natural Resource Management; Demonstrated success
in implementing programs aimed at increasing access to water and sanitation
services, and/or small-scale wastewater treatment;
·
Demonstrated knowledge of best
practices in sustainable and climate-ready water and sanitation services from
source to tap.
·
Relevant post-graduate degree in
civil and/or environmental engineering, water resources management, or public
health preferred.
Grants Officer
The Grant Officer is responsible for
the overall management of the PREPARED Grant Program in accordance with USAID
regulations.
S/he will develop Request for
Application (RFA) packages and manage the competitive selection process;
Provide guidance and training to
grantees;
Perform preaward surveys of potential
grantees to assess financial, program, and organizational capabilities;
Maintain grants information
management system; Reconcile financial and technical
Requisite Qualifications:
·
Seven (7) years professional
experience in Grants Management preferably with USAID;
·
administrative experience in data and
financial management;
·
fluent in English with excellent
communication skills; and
·
willing to travel extensively.
Technical Assistant
The Technical Assistant will provide
administrative and logistical support to the technical leads to ensure
activities and events are well planned, implemented and reported on.
S/he will also be responsible for
taking detailed notes during staff meetings; ensuring all technical documents
and reports are saved and available in the PREPARED library;
Assist in activity planning; and
Assist in the recruitment process of key staff.
Requisite Qualifications:
·
Three (3) years of providing
logistical and administrative support on donor funded project, preferably
USAID;
·
experience with financial
management;
·
Superior computer skills;
·
Knowledge or interest in
environmental issues;
·
experience with monitoring and
evaluation preferred;
·
ability to travel;
·
Strong work ethic and a desire to
learn.
These positions will be based in
Nairobi, Kenya.
