BTL, a Christian faith-based organisation, involved in Language Development, Bible Translation, Literacy and Community Development among minority languages of Kenya, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated born again Christian with a good Christian standing, demonstrated spiritual maturity, integrity and a calling to serve to fill the above


Opportunity to Serve: Accountant 

The Accountant shall be responsible for the 
  • Running and maintaining a sound and elaborate accounting system that conforms to the in-house and International Accounting Standards; 
  • Preparing and submitting financial accounts; 
  • Ensuring Donor Compliance Monitoring and Reviewing; 
  • Managing petty cash and accounts records; 
  • Preparing monthly statutory returns and ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • Should be a qualified Accountant (CPA K)
  • At least 3 years progressive experience in the field of Accounting/Finance
  • Experience in computerized accounting (prior knowledge of ACCPACC and Peach Tree accounting software will be an added advantage)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent Communication and Analytical skills
  • Holder of a clean and valid driver’s licence
Opportunity to Serve: Sales and Marketing Officer 
 
The Sales and Marketing Officer shall be responsible for Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for the conference centre.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.
  • Brand the conference centre through preparing the collaterals.
  • Carrying out sales calls.
  • Introduce the conference products to the new customers and visit the existing ones
  • Plan sales promotions and set sales goals.
  • Create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Business Administration (marketing option) or its equivalent from a recognised university
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar role, (Experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage)
  • Excellent Computer skills
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively
