Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizes programmatic activities aimed

for policy activities, monitors the implementation of activities and
planned results; may monitor grants as well
- In coordination with other office staff,

activities and global policy unit
- Drafts white papers and policy briefs for

- Builds and nurtures existing networks and

- Writes and submits Ipas technical statements,
papers, and reports to the United Nations and regional policy-making
bodies
- Prepares presentations and papers for
conferences and workshops; reviews other documents for publication by Ipas
- Supports fundraising initiatives for policy
activities by contributing to donor proposals and preparation or review of
donor report
- Monitors the legal environment for abortion in
Africa and identifies opportunities for intervention
- Represents the organization at various
national, regional and international meetings to ensure incorporation of
Ipas objectives into the agenda for discussion.

Office Assistant / Associate I
This is a full-time position based in
Kisumu and is available for an immediate start.
- With guidance from the supervisor and other
team members, develops correspondence (reports, letters and other
documents) intended for both external and internal audiences and
photocopies documentation as needed
- Supports the coordination of team meetings and
external meetings, and assists with the development of work plans to carry
out project-related tasks

project related materials to the field office.
- Assists with the preparation of travel

Health Systems Advisor II
This is a full-time position based in
Nairobi and is available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing Technical Assistance for Increased
Access to CAC Services:
- Supports assigned county training and service
delivery resources as needed;
- Provides leadership and technical assistance
in accordance with Ipas global and Africa Alliance work plan.
- Identifies, assesses and enters into partnership
with training institutions, service delivery sites, government and NGOs to
accomplish program goals
- Manages the partnership and provides required
technical assistance to enhance access to SRH and CAC to women and young
girls.
Training & Service Delivery:
- Identifies plans and supports training for
appropriate levels of health care staff.
- Provides trainee mentorship and supportive
supervision and other technical support (communication, training,
equipping and IEC materials) to service delivery sites to ensure provision
of high quality care and increased utilization of services.
- Responsible for identifying consultants as
appropriate and contributes to consultant management that includes
developing consultant plans, developing scopes of work, identifying,
hiring and supervising clinical and non-clinical consultants.
Coordination
- Coordinates training and service delivery and
other projects undertaken by Ipas as assigned.
- Ensures that there is synergy between project
activities, ensures optimal utilization of organizational resources
through a properly coordinated program.
- Coordinate with county health management
teams, health facility managers and service providers to ensure
operationalization and implementation of MOUs between Ipas and the County
Health management teams and partners.
Program Monitoring:
- Responsible for tracking results against
benchmarks set for each program/project implemented in the counties.

Ipas intervention sites and providers to ensure provision of quality
comprehensive abortion care services.
- Supervises service data entry into the
organizational database.
- Ensures adherence to the Ipas Global
Monitoring tool guidance for Ipas programs as well as Quality of Care in
service delivery.
- Contributes to management of the health
systems budget for the Alliance and accountability.
Writing and Reporting:
- Works with appropriate staff and partners to
develop and write reports, studies, and presentations related to Ipas
training and service delivery improvement efforts; including information
for donor documents.
- Submit periodic progress reports from their
work plan implementation to the senior health systems advisor as
indicated.
Requirements for the position
include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Bachelor
degree in Nursing.
- 7 years’ experience in implementing sexual and
reproductive health programs at field and managerial level, with special
emphasis on abortion care programs and quality assurance systems.
- Experience in working with the ministry of
health at national / county level.
- Experience in in -service training and good
knowledge of adult training techniques
- Strong communications and presentations skills

Research and Evaluation Associate III
This is a full-time position based in

- Carry out data entry, cleaning, analysis,
posting and reporting for M&E data for their assigned countries, and
for special studies and research for those countries in compliance with
published Ipas R&E Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Ipas global
M&E system requirements, and standards for data quality.
- Ensures all M&E data are processed,
cleaned and analyzed in a timely manner and works with in-country teams to
keep M&E databases up to date

systems program monitoring data
- Ensures all site and provider data is entered
in the relevant database on a quarterly basis

country proposals and reports.

Research and Evaluation Advisor II
This is a full-time position based in

- Conducts special studies and research
activities in their country of responsibility and provides technical and
administrative support to the design, data collection, statistical
analysis and reporting of these projects
- Ensures that relevant data across all areas of
programs is collected, entered in appropriate tools, and analyzed in order
to share data trends with Ipas NC Global and influence decision making on
program planning
- Participates in the creation of initial drafts
of project reports, timelines, plans of work, and other related documents,
and tracks Research and & Evaluation unit deadlines
- Maintains regular communication with R&E
staff in NC Global to stay up-todate on R&E objectives and guidelines,
make sure their in-country results align, and M&E standards are being
achieved
- Spearheads the development and revision of
data collection tools and reporting formats and forms in their
country-office
- Oversees the implementation of M&E systems
and databases in their country office with guidance from R&E staff in
