Sales- SME
The SimbaNET Sales Manager will work
within the SimbaNET Sales Department and will report to the HOD SME Sales on
Daily Activities.
The Sales Manager will be responsible
for the following key areas in Sales Department:-
- Responsible for the entire Sales functions
across Channel Markets.
- Responsible for the development and
performance of all sales activities in assigned market.
- Direct channels and provide leadership towards
the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company
vision and values.
- Establishes plans and strategies to expand the
customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of
training and educational programs for channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SMEs & SOHO Sales
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy
for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and
profitability.
- Responsible for the performance and
development of the channel partners.
- Prepares action plans in each territory for
effective search o channels partners leads and prospects.
- Initiates and coordinates development of
action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Assists in the development and implementation
of marketing plans as needed.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all Channel
Partners to build more effective communications, to understand training
and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of
channels’ sales and activity performance.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management
regarding performance.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing
on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval,
while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Engage proactively with channel partners and
negotiate on pricing as per the company policy.
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings,
sales, and activity reports submitted by Sales Executives.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations
and RFP responses.
- Assists channel partners in preparation of
proposals and presentations.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures
and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and
implemented within the team.
- Recruits, tests, and hires channel partners
based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
- Submission of all weekly, monthly quarterly
and Annual reports and presentations.
2. Channel Sales
- Guiding the Sales Agents for Channel
Management.
- Building strategies to increase sales using
Sales promotion exercises, Sales activations programmes, use of Reseller,
Motivating resellers and building the Plan to meet them to be in touch
with them.
3. Internal / External Cooperation
- Ensures that all channel partners meet or exceed
all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations,
proposals and closes.
- Educates channel sales team by establishing
programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of
emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved
presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of
sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on
contracts.
- Hold regular meetings with All channel
partners.
- Delegate’s authority and responsibility with
accountability and follow-up.
- Sets examples for channel Sales
partners/Business Executives in areas of personal character, commitment,
organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling with
Channel partners to build motivation and selling skills.
- Maintains contact with all clients in the
market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate
with all company employees.
- Coordination with various departments Like
Technical, Project, Commercial etc for proposals implementation and after
sales activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Business related or its
equivalent- Position requires sales, interpersonal and negotiation skill,
logical and analytical mind
- Minimum of 5 years of experience: 2-4 years of
experience in Sales Management
- Strong understanding of customer and market
dynamics
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales
teams.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of
Customer Relationship Management
- Should have good knowledge of customer
relations and vastly networked.
- Good knowledge of (but not limited to) -
Wimax, Fiber and VSAT technologies, would be an added advantage
- Ability to multi task and deliver on other
tasks as may be assigned by the superiors from time to time, with minimum
supervision.
- Of good temperament, right attitude,
innovative and responsive in carrying out their duties.
Required Competencies:
- Performance Management and Sales Management
- Must have full understanding on SMEs & SOHO
Market,
- Must have good sales planning, managing
process, developing budgets and sales strategies.
- Excellent communications skills and strong
negotiation skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and
Kiswahili (spoken)
- Ability to grasp the fundamentals of Sales and
manage the cycle
- Ability to quickly grasp concepts, work under
pressure, deliver to meet deadlines
- Must be self‐driven,
motivated, enthusiastic, positive and pleasant individual who is result
oriented
- Ability to interface and communicate professionally
and politely at all levels within a corporate environment
- Must have emotional maturity to enable them to
work with customers who may sometimes be upset
- Must pay attention to detail to ensure all
aspects of customer satisfaction are covered
- Must be a team player and can demonstrate the
ability to work with the various departments within the company to achieve
the shared Vision
- Ability to accurately report sales figures,
trends and customer requirements

The SimbaNET Sales Manager will work

Key Responsibilities:
1. SME Sales
- Suggest; assist in identifying sales strategy
for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and
profitability.
- Responsible for the performance and
development of the sales staff.
- Set up sales plan in order to archive sales
target required by the company providing a detailed sales action plan to
ensure that targets are achieved on a monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Support, motivate staff member to achieve
individual and team target.
- Supervise daily work of sales staff.
- Build up good relationship with service
provider in the responsible field.
- Negotiate or assist in negotiation with
accounts in order to improve closure with sales staff.
- Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Market update
report on new services, competitors, business opportunities etc.
- Work closely with other job functions in the
company to improve overall services level.
- Immediate reporting of important issues
(service, operational, HR) to direct senior level.
- Handling of key accounts, prospects
- Other duties reasonably relating to this
position
- Propose, suggest, assign (as applicable) sales
target, jobs responsibilities for each Sales Staff member.
- Staff performance appraisal, suggest
rewarding, punishment, proposing staff dismissal when applicable.
