Shelter-Afrique is a pan-African
Development Finance Institution dedicated to Investment in housing and urban
development in African countries.
The current shareholding comprises 44
African governments, the African Development Bank and the African Reinsurance
Corporation.
1. Executive Assistant to Managing Director
Main Role: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Executive
Assistant will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Managing
Director and ensure effective functioning of the office.
Specific duties will include:
- office management ;
- managing interface with other departments and
external parties;
- drafting, reviewing and collating documents,
minutes, reports, correspondences and presentations;
- managing the dairy and appointments;
- managing information;
- managing travel bookings and schedules;
- assisting in protocol responsibilities
including relations with key government departments/agencies.
Minimum requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in business management,
office management, secretarial studies, communication, public relations or
related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as Executive
or Administrative Assistant to a Managing Director, Chief Executive
Officer or Director preferably of an international, multicultural
organisation.
- Advanced Information technology skills
including word, excel, access, PowerPoint and Oracle.
- Bilingual with superior written and verbal
communications skills in English and French.
2. Administration Officer
Reporting to the Head of Human
Resources and Corporate Services, the Administration Officer is responsible for
the provision of effective and efficient administrative support services at
Head Office and Regional Offices.
Specific duties will include:
- procurement, property and facilities
management, insurance, security, transport and travel;
- management of outsourced services;
- supervise operations of shared services
center;
- plan and facilitate logistics for company
events;
- manage administrative budgets and costs;
- implement work place safety, occupational
health and safety policies and programmes;
- manage relations with government ministries
and agencies and
- ensure access and utilization of diplomatic
privileges.
Minimum requirements
- A Masters degree in business
administration/management, commerce, procurement, logistics, or equivalent
qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience
in administration, procurement & logistics preferably gained in a multicultural
organization.
- Qualifications in procurement /purchasing will
be an added advantage.
- Highly developed IT skills including
proficiency in Oracle purchasing module.
- Knowledge of French language will be an added
advantage.
