Position: Business Analyst (Public Finance Domain)

Location:
 Kenya                                  

Responsibilities:                   
  • Candidates should have strong functional skills and have the ability to facilitate group discussions related to business process design. 
  • Presentation experience, as well as the ability to assists clients in implementation planning, fit/gap analysis, configuration, testing, rollout and post-implementation support of public sector ERP solutions is desirable.

Requirements:
  • CA/CPA or Bachelors / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent field of study and public sector experience highly desirable.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ work experience in ERP, Government Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting
  • Working knowledge of Finance/Accounting business processes (including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, project systems, closing processes) and the technology that supports these processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of configuring FI touch points with other modules, including CO,MM, SD, and HR

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate to the design of the Global HR system

Position: Business Analyst (Tax and Customs)

Location:

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an international tax advisor on international tax services and offerings
  • Research, write, and review the tax advice relating to domestic and international tax matters
  • Review Contracts and advise on the best way to structure contract on a Tax Level
  • Implement Contract locally to comply with Tax and Legal laws
  • Calculating, preparing and submitting accounts and tax returns;
  • Tax structuring to determine and shape the immediate & long term tax impact of the acquisitions & disposals
  • Tax due-diligence to apprise our potential risk & benefits associated with a transaction advising about business plans, mergers, take-overs and tax compliance;
  • Strong technical skills in Direct Tax Compliance, particularly Corporate Tax, Income Tax & Withhold Tax.
  • Service Tax, VAT, STPI & Customs process.
  • Take responsibility for proper tax filing and tax document retention in relation to the tax compliance matters
  • Coordinate the tax planning and tax management
  • Manage, monitor and follow up all tax pending assignments
  • Business process re-engineering and process improvement skills, particularly around the implementation a new revenue management system
  • Thorough knowledge on tax procedures and keeping updated with changing rules and regulations

Requirements:
  • Must have a Master's Degree in a business-related discipline (e.g. Economics, Finance, IT, etc.) or a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy/Tax;
  • Need to have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience
  • Minimum of five years’ significant project-based experience and track-record of working at a senior level in the areas of expertise sought
  • This individual preferably has some tax application experience working with public accounting firms and/or fortune 1000 companies in the area of transaction tax (e.g., multi-state/VAT).
