The role of the Finance Manager-Jumia will be to take responsibility over the Jumia Finance Teams Including:

The role of the Finance Manager-Jumia will be to take responsibility over the Jumia Finance Teams Including:
1. Management of finance team (Jumia):
- Provide supervision & coaching as
required, particularly as it relates to proper accounting of expenses and
accrual of non-invoiced expenses.
- Ensure that processes & controls are
followed, in line with group policy
- Review of their work, particularly with:
- Recording in accounting system
- Review of sales & bank reconciliation
- Review of payment reports
2. Take responsibility for
implementation of controls & process that do not exist – e.g regular
supplier statement reconciliation, formal petty cash reconciliation process,
tracking and approval of non-budgeted expenses
3. Ensure payroll is processed on time and reviewed (processing done by payroll accountant), manager to review.
4. Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory requirements
5. Ensure clean month end close process, so that the reporting team can prepare accurate reports on time.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified accountant
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
is desirable - mixture of audit experience and finance roles in industry
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt
easily to a changing and challenging environment
- Strong excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- MBA preferred
