Position: Data Clerk
Responsible to: Data Officer
Location: Dadaab – Non Family

The rehabilitation project in Dadaab
aims to provide and secure tangible and measurable improvement of independency
in activities of daily living and quality of life of refugees living with
physical impairment or disability.
The Position: Responsible for contributing towards development
and management of the database for Persons with Disabilities ( PwDs), including
baseline information for Dadaab project programming.
S/he will be responsible for:-
1. Provision of data in relation
project activities
- Linking with implementing partners.
- Assisting in building capacity of incentive
workers and host community volunteers on data collection and accurate use
of data collection tools.
2. Collecting data to inform project
reports by
- Cross checking of data collected both in the
database and assessment forms
- Contributing towards the development of data
collection tools
- Organizing and keeping good records of
materials obtained through project implementation period of
capitalization.
- Working closely with the field receptionist to
ensure flow of information and filing system is followed.
3. Contributing to project planning
by
- Participating in review of project plans
- Contributing to the development of the
project’s monitoring and implementing plan.
- Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
required
Education
- Certificate or equivalent in information
Technology
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience in
related discipline, particularly in development or humanitarian context.
- Knowledge of disability and community based
rehabilitation will be an added advantage.
Skills
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
- Somali will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Proven skills in Information Technology.
- Proven skills in Data analysis and Management.
- Knowledge of Data analysis software’s e.g.
SPSS, EPI-info will be an added advantage.
- Reporting and monitoring skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have good understanding of data
confidentiality issues.
- Must have good record keeping skills.
- Must be able to input data accurately.
- At least a minimum speed of 75 words per
minute
