Stores Assistant

(One Position)

Reports to: Store-Keeper

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and posting all goods in GRNs
  • Issuing products to various shops e.g. Kisumu and Mombasa on SRNs
  • Keeping strict physical re-order levels to avoid stock sale outs
  • Cleaning and arranging the stock in the store neatly
  • Keeping neat stores inventories
  • Reporting proper payment records to the store keeper
  • Monitoring price changes and vendor rating
Job Specification
  • KCSE grade C and above
  • Diploma in purchasing and supplies from a recognized institution preferably Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
  • Ability to work long hours, carry and arrange products neatly
  • Ability to code and price quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills

Kitchen Supervisor

(Two Positions)

Reports to:
 Manager Arziki Restaurant

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure high quality food that meets stringent standards is produced and consistently maintained.
  • Maintain daily cleaning schedules to ensure that high standards of hygiene are maintained.
  • To ensure that stocks issued and used for food production are accounted for, reconciled with sales on a daily basis and food and beverage cost control.
  • Work closely with food and beverage supervisors to plan menus as per customer requirements taking into consideration various food innovations and variety.
  • To ensure that customer complaints on food are immediately acted up to uphold good  customer service.
  • To ensure that kitchen equipment and crockery are handled properly by kitchen staff and accounted for.
  • To develop, improve and demonstrate proper use of kitchen recipes by staff.
  • To provide hands on kitchen supervision, direction, coordination and organization of all kitchen staff and their work stations
  • To work closely with purchasing and stores to ensure that correct stocks are purchased taking into consideration customer forecasts and consumption levels.
  • Set targets for staff as per strategic plan and performance contract , conduct performance appraisals and monitor staff performance
  • Ensure that the QMS procedures are complied and focus on system improvement
  • Ensure compliance with food and hygiene health and safety laws
  • Any other duty assigned by the Manager
Job Specification:
  • Diploma in Food Production or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years work experience as a Head Cook / kitchen supervisor in a busy 3 to 4 star restaurant
  • Ability to guide and supervise staff
  • Must be conversant with food and beverage cost control and accountability
  • Other certificates relevant to the job i.e.  kitchen supervision will be an added advantage
  • Computer literate
  • Innovative and quality conscious
  • Good food presentation skills
  • KCSE C+
  • Ability to work under pressure & long hours.

Executive Assistant to the MD

(One position)

Reports to:
 Managing Director

Job Purpose & Position: The position is designed to provide for efficient and responsive administrative, organizational, and logistical service in order to achieve maximum productivity for the MD’s Office by working closely with the MD to provide administrative support on a one-to-one basis. 

This position is of key importance within the organization and the successful candidate must have previous secretarial and senior administrative experience and the initiative to resolve issues quickly in an appropriate manner.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the MD is fully briefed and prepared for all  planned engagements and accompanying to take notes and provide general assistance in all related arrangements
  • Do background research and present findings in the form of Board Papers, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Prepare correspondence on behalf of the MD, including the drafting of general replies and controlling Documents prepared for the MD’s approval
  • Reading, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports, legal documents and invitations to the MD
  • Organizing and maintaining the MD’s Diary and making appropriate appointments
  • Following up on delegated assignments and exploring opportunities to add value to the success of the Company
Job Specification
  • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Social Sciences or Related Fields
  • Minimum of three (3) years demonstrable experience in working resource
  • Excellent Organizational, Document Preparation, and Presentation Skills
  • Flexible and Mature Approach with Ability to work without supervision
  • Good Verbal and Written Communications
  • High level of Professionalism and Confidentiality
  • Ability to manage Client Relationships and command Respect
  • Must have analytical and problem solving skills
