Profile: One
of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic caps and closures is coming to
Kenya!
The
company has 22 factories in 19 countries worldwide, covering Europe, Middle
East, Africa, Asia and North and South America and this global presence is
continuously extended.
They
are now coming to the East African region by opening an office in Nairobi and
seek to recruit an Office Manager.
Summary: The manager will
organize all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth
running of the office.
- The
holder will provide good customer service and be attentive to customer
needs.
- Maintain
office services by organizing office operations and procedures,
correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply
requisitions
- Work
closely with the sales team to ensure proper records and accounting of
expenditure as needed and work to improve performance.
- Keep
management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports summarizing
information identifying trends as may be assigned.
- Maintain
office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts,
and equipment procurement.
- Organizing
Meetings, arranging appointments, representing the Company in as may be
required in external engagements
- Ordering
stationery and furniture, dealing with correspondence, complaints and
queries, preparing letters, presentations and reports
- Ensure
contracts, insurance requirements, and government regulations and safety
standards are followed properly.
- Tracking
expenditure, scanning, emailing, copying receipts, vouchers and other
financial documentation;
- Managing
supplier relationships
- Organizing
transport, accommodation, etc. for visiting international staff and
visitors
- Overall
management of the company’s office and facilities

- Outstanding
written and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing
and engaging personality; high energy and enthusiasm level
- Results-oriented
with a “can do” attitude; willingness to do whatever necessary to get the
job done
- Excellent
communicator and team player; can strike an instant rapport with people
from different walks of life and background
- Excellent
time management and organization, detail oriented
- Experience
working in rapidly changing and demanding work environments
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Bachelors
Degree required
- Minimum
of two years full-time work experience, preferably in office management,
finance or HR.
