Advocates shall report to their respective Head of Departments. 

Their duties shall include:-

  • Direct the opening of files and undertaking briefs therein up to completion.
  • Initiate Court procedures.
  • Process Legal documents.
  • Prepare Legal Opinions as clients may require from time to time.
  • Maintain client contact by regularly and appropriately advising the client on ongoing briefs.
  • Supervision of the immediate assistants with a view to upholding the set standards in the Firm.
  • Maintain a consistent billing system and ensuring a proper follow up to realize the billed amounts.
  • To punctually attend such consultative meetings as may be organized in the department from time to time
  • Meeting the set monthly targets in respect to net receivables as may be agreed with the Partners from time to time.
  • To perform such managerial and other duties as may be called to perform by the firm from time to time.
  • to faithfully, honestly and diligently serve the Firm as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and to perform such other duties in relation to the business of the Practice and at all times to carry out all reasonable instructions of the Firm as they may from time to time be called upon or expected to perform.
  • To use their best endeavors, skills and knowledge to promote the affairs of the Firm and not to do anything that may be detrimental to the interests of the Practice.
