Stores Assistant Job in Kenya

Vacancies in International Engineering and Infrastructure Firm: Our client, a leading engineering company involved in numerous infrastructure development projects in water & environment; buildings & industrial structures; power transmission projects and mining, among other physical infrastructure installations, has contracted Parker Randall EA Ltd to oversee the recruitment of dynamic, experienced and self-motivated individuals with excellent leadership skills, who will form the core team that will deliver on their strategic intent and business in Africa.

Our client seeks to recruit qualified and experienced professionals who will add value to the firm to work on a key project based at the Bura Irrigation and Settlement Scheme for the following positions:  

Stores Assistant

Position:
 1        
 
Location: Bura Irrigation and Settlement Scheme, Tana River County


 
Job Summary: Provide suppliers with all the requested information and advise management concerning requisitions. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality checks on equipment and materials determined by quality and ISO manuals
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures and Codes of Conduct in the warehouse are met
  • Ensure requirements for product quality, specification and delivery planning
  • Check quantity and quality of in-coming materials and equipment
  • Plan load outs, ensuring the right quantities leave the warehouse
  • Ensure that equipment and the warehouse facility are clean at all times
  • Responsible for managing all functions of stock and equipment
  • Track inventory spending, as well as keeping records of where the inventory and stock are going
  • Manage shifts schedules for all of the store's employees
  • Filling in forms, returns, and control documents and filing according to agreed control procedures
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
  • Certificate in Record Management.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to manage all aspects of the role in a pressurized environment
  • Knowledge and application of industrial and personal safety behaviours
