Vacancy Announcement: Sales Coordinator –Nairobi

Our client is a leading tea
manufacturing company in Kenya and a subsidiary of a multination company.
Job Purpose / Summary: The incumbent is focal point for the Sales and
Marketing team engagement between the distributors, modern trade and
intuitions, trade team, Customer Service Finance, Production and
Logistics.
The heartbeat of the Sales and
Marketing initiatives at company delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in conducting internal analysis of
the department by providing data related to the distribution sales
performance of the region.
- Collect external environment data related to
market, competition and trends.
- Gather and share competitor information and
their activities with management.
- Ensure clients have updated price list
whenever prices are advised.
- Prepare an overall sales performance report
and share it with the team on a weekly basis.
- Drives the financial formulation and
communication of pricing, trade offers and reports on the trade promotions
appraisal.
- Find out reasons in case of lost order or in
case a customer cancels and discontinues partnership.
- Ensure replenishment of stock by keeping
updates of the stock position.
- Discuss client complaints and resolve.
- Ensure overall performance of teams is
appropriate to achieve company sales targets.
- Manage performance on the team by monitoring
their sales performance and reporting.
- Participate in any meetings called by
management and other department heads.
- Align all activities required to be executed
to meet the objectives of the marketing initiative and discuss it with the
commercial team.
- Coordinate with Brand Manager in formulating
marketing and promotional activities.
- Provide regular (weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
feedback on the performance of products in market.
- Coordinate with the team and logistics in
charge to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Share any new initiatives by competitors, any
new product information, any suggestions from clients with team.
Reporting
Required to prepare the following
- Annual sales report
- Monthly sales performance reports.
- Weekly order conversion report
- Monthly credit report
- Weekly and monthly trade promotions report
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in a busy competitive
environment
- Ability to translate in trade information to
actionable business actions to grow both market share and deliver
projected value for the calendar year.
- Strong business development and strategy
formulation
- Be able to effectively drive cross-group
communication and cooperation, using strong communication, project
management and organizational skills.
- Retail, Consumer marketing or sales background
or proven knowledge of digital consumer selling channels
- Possess a personal passion for marketing,
customer relationship, technology, partners and satisfaction.
- Negotiation and influencing skills that gain
successful outcomes for the company
- High levels of energy, drive, creativity and
innovation
- Demonstrate excellent presentation and
negotiation skills
- Organized, analytical and computer literate.
- Self-motivated and self-driven individual with
prospective personal development within the company.
Salary Budget: Kshs. 50,000 - 75,000 Gross plus benefits
