We
seek to support and consolidate inclusive peace building initiatives across the
country.
We
actively engage grassroots structures in order to foster peace at both local
and national levels.
To facilitate the smooth running of a Conflict Transformation
program currently under development, PeaceNet seeks to recruit a competent and
dynamic Project Support Officer who will be stationed in our regional office in
Nyeri to offer support to our regional team in project implementation.
Terms
of Reference
The Project Support Officer, to be based in Nyeri, will be expected to fulfill the following roles:

- Work
closely with the International Peace building Adviser in setting up
structures, project work and any other related activities.
- Establish
linkages with local structures in the region
- Support
to design and develop workable products in the region
- Enhance
capacity building for the local partners
- Strengthen
local capacities on how to integrate trainings on the ground
Minimum Qualifications
The
office holder should have the following qualifications.
- University
degree in social sciences or equivalent
- At
least 1 year work experience
- Familiarity
with peace building and conflict management issues in Kenya will be an
added advantage
The Project Support Staff must be from Central Kenya Region and
will be answerable to the Secretariat in Nairobi
