Our client, an international NGO in
quality reproductive health care and family planning wishes to recruit a
Programme Operations Intern who will have the overall responsibility for the
provision of both program and administrative assistance to the Programme
Operations Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize program operation department
meetings, assist with the preparation of contracts between Coast Region
Office and its partners/ stakeholders as well as liaise with Regional
Office’s field office staff, donors and external bodies.
- With close liaison with the Programme Team
Liaison Officer maintain a shared programme calendar of events in Outlook.
Items on the calendar include travel, visits from international staff,
important meetings, annual leave and events. Update staff on a weekly
basis.
- Perform administrative functions that will
include ensuring timely and orderly appointments for the Programme
Operations Director and program visitors.
- Follow up and ensure all the monthly payments
for rent and security payments for all MSK Centres, FPO & SF offices
are made, by ensuring invoices are paid at the start of each month.
- Develop and maintain the organization’s
Programme Operation resource centre.
- Take and compile minutes of program meetings,
staff meeting and external meetings.
- Organize stand by driver if necessary, taxi
bookings for staff if vehicle is busy or in for service.
- Coordinate information sharing across
departments and service delivery channels, including outreach, clinics and
social franchising.
- Prepare and coordinate procurement requests
for goods and services for the projects.
- Ensure the filing systems for general and
confidential program correspondence are maintained and up to date.
- The Programme Operation Intern support will cut
across the entire departments including operations, research monitoring
and evaluation, accounts, marketing, community engagement and HR.
- Work closely with the Programme Team Liaison
Officer for effective and efficient coordination of programme operations
and field activities.
- Carry out any other duties as may be directed
by the Director of Programme Operation.
Skills & Abilities
- Bachelors in business administration, project
management, office administration, community development, social sciences
or related field
- Candidates with previous experience in a
Health related NGO setting will have an added advantage.
- A high standard of written and spoken English
and Kiswahili
- Advanced computer skills, experience in MS
Word, Excel , Power Point and Outlook essential
- Ability to multi-task and able to work under
pressure
- Good record keeping skills with the ability to
track and follow up on various requests
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and
ability to follow through on tasks to completion
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to work self-directed and use
initiative
- Trustworthy and responsible

Regional Medical Officer / Clinical
Officer
Location: Kisii, Kericho and Meru
Industry: NGO
Our client, an international NGO in
quality reproductive health care and family planning wishes to recruit a
Regional Medical Officer to ensure that all technical aspects relating to the
provision of quality and excellent health care to the clients is achieved in
line with the organization’s core values of customer focused, results oriented
and sustainability.
S/he will be pivotal in supporting 3
– 4 outreach teams in provision of ligation procedures especially BTL and
vasectomy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure there is proper and effective use of
medical equipment and supplies and for notifying the team leaders of needs
for repair, maintenance or replacements etc.
- Conducting regular internal quality audit
checks at the outreach
- Reporting on all major and minor complications
arising in the day to day operations of the centers
- Develop clear framework for regular clinical
updates for all health care staff at the outreach especially with regard
to mini laparotomies
- Coordinating and administering relevant and timely
continuous medical updates to other staff to meet operations needs
- Maintain high quality service delivery data
and ensure prompt reporting is achieved in line with the organization’s
reporting framework
- Establishing clear and concise referral
protocols and directories that are routinely updated
- Conduct regular counseling to all clients in
need of medical procedures
- Preparing and participating fully in
Continuous Medical Education (C.M.E.)
Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from
a recognized university- Medical Officer
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and surgery.
- Clinical officers with specialties in RH
services will be added advantage
- Must have completed 1 year of post internship
- Must be registered with the Medical
Practitioners and dentists board/ clinical Officers council and possess a
valid Private practice License
- Experience in conducting mini laparotomies
such as tubal ligation and vasectomy is an added advantage
Support Office Care Assistant
Location: Nairobi

Support Office Care Assistant to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and
orderliness is maintained at the Support Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean the inside of the offices ensuring
proper and thorough attention to the floor, the wall, surfaces, furniture
and utensils
- Cleaning the windows of the office and the
containers. Maintaining cleanliness and neatness of the curtains, nettings
and the blinds
- Follow all aspects of infection prevention in
cleaning
- Supporting team members in administrative work
for example photocopying, arranging the offices etc (when need be)
- Prepare and serve tea to team members at an
agreed time. Additionally ensure there are enough flasks and other
utensils to facilitate serving of tea
- In liaison with the Admin Assistant, identify
areas of repair, assist in arranging for servicing and repair of office
equipments, and furniture
- When need be, run errands as maybe directed by
the Deputy Director CS P & D through Senior Administrator- P&D or
the Admin assistant
- Maintenance of Inventory and stock take of the
office supplies
Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 1 year in office administration and
cleanliness with a proven record
- Possess basic computer skills and experience
in MS Office
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and
ability to follow through tasks to completion.
- Punctual and reliable
- Good organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to work with less supervision and
initiative
- Trustworthy and responsible.
