Job Vacancies at a Multi-national Company in Kenya

We are a group of trading companies based in Mombasa with offices in Nairobi and associate companies in neighbouring countries.

We are seeking to recruit individuals for the following posts, who have good oral and written communication and who are self- motivated. 

The vacancies exist in our Mombasa office.
 

1. Chief Accountant / Finance Manager - Should be able to plan and direct activities
 
within the Finance Department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:
·                     Leading the Finance team
·                     Managing strategic projects and building, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders
·                     Playing a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
·                     Financial modeling, analysis and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders and executive team
·                     Presentation and review of the monthly business performance reports and rolling I 2-month forecasts
·                     Overseeing annual tax processes
·                     Completion of statutory financial accounts for group entities
·                     Ensuring adherence with group policies and procedures
·                     Any other accounting related duties as assigned by the Management
Desired Skills and Experience
·                     ACCA/CPA/Master’s degree (M.B.A) or equivalent with four to ten years post qualification related experience
·                     Have a flare for numbers and work well with people
·                     Ability to meet deadlines and have a positive work attitude
·                     Willing to work longer hours during peak periods
2. Personal Assistant - who will provide efficient, executive and responsive administrative
support to the CEO.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·                     General office administration
·                     Maintaining the CEO’s diary
·                     Filter emails and highlight urgent correspondence
·                     Managing routine correspondence, documents and ensuring systematic filing of all records
·                     Making travel bookings — both local and international, keeping in mind the different time zones for different countries
·                     Preparing and attending meetings when required and taking and typing of Minutes
·                     Schedule meetings on behalf of the CEO
·                     Assisting the CEO in the dayto day running of his office
Core Competencies
·                     Ability to manage, prioritize and execute duties with common sense and etiquette
·                     Outstanding interpersonal skills (face to face as well as over the phone)
·                     Good proficiency with commonly used computer packages & applications
Requirements
·                     Must have minimum of5 years’ experience as a PA/Administrator at Senior level.
·                     Must be 30+ years old
·                     Have a professional telephone manner
·                     Able to interrelate with other staff in a professional manner
