Our client, an international NGO in quality reproductive health care and family planning wishes to recruit a People and Development Administrative Officer to provide essential administration and HR functions thereby assisting in the smooth running of the organization.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the orientation and induction programmes.
  • Guidance management and support of a small team of receptionist, caretaker and cleaning staff ensuring high performance in regards to safety, efficiency and excellent customer service
  • Assist in the provision of timely and effective technical assistance to line managers to support their effective people management.
  • General office administration duties.
  • Assist with the timely and accurate administration of staff benefits.
  • Assist with equitable and efficient administration of staffing issues.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Graduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management or related field
  • Qualifications to demonstrate training skills/knowledge desirable
  • Minimum 3 years experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Kenyan Labor law essential.
  • Knowledge of the non-for-profit sector is highly desirable
  • Strong practical knowledge and understanding of HR practices, including staff relations issues and recruitment, demonstrated in an office of more than 250 staff, is essential.
  • Excellent demonstrable IT skills including in the use of databases, MS Office suite and for the use of information management
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
Vacancy: Centre Managers
 
Location: Malindi and Kongowea

Our client, an international NGO in quality reproductive health care and family planning wishes to recruit Centre Managers to ensure the smooth running of  the Center as well as ensure clinical quality, deliver high quality services and client safety. 

He/she will assist with budget management to make sure they are all consistent with organizational objectives and will also provide leadership and manage support staff for the Center.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare annual business plans with SMART objectives and strategic plans of how to achieve them
  • Monitor income and expenditure, seeking support from Finance as required, and take appropriate action to ensure financial KPIs are met
  • Optimize capacity within the centre by efficiently managing human resources; continually reviewing the effectiveness of systems and working practices; and maintaining an effective client flow to minimize client wait times
  • Compliance to the national healthcare guidelines and organizational protocols
  • Engage and motivate all team members within the centre so that they understand and work to achieve centre objectives and KPIs and so that their role has a positive impact on the centre’s success.
  • Take an active approach to managing the performance of all team members by providing honest feedback on performance; providing formal reviews at least annually; setting appropriate objectives; ensuring appropriate behaviors are discussed and appropriate training plans are put in place.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor Degree in Health or Business Administration
  • Five years experience in healthcare field
  • Significant operational, hands on management including team management gained within a customer focused service industry
  • Healthcare management experience
  • Have held, worked to and/or monitored a budget or business plan
  • Understand and use financial information such as balance sheets and profit and loss accounts to inform business decision making
  • Team leadership skills: effective delegation, supervision, coaching and motivation
