Inventory Controller Job in Kenya (100K - 150K)

Our client, a market leader in animal processing industry across Africa is seeking to recruit the best talent in the region for the position of Inventory Controller

The successful candidate should have a background in Animal Production with expertise in Poultry Production. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe custody of processed stock. 
  • Maintain accurate records of the stock transactions and balances of the same.
  • Stock management and control.
  • Ensure efficient management of stores.
  • Management of packaging costs and inventory.
  • Customer service.
  • Ensure proper invoicing and monitoring of the stock ledger.
  • Document movement of stock in laid down procedure.
  • Approve postings of the movement into the stock system.
  • Investigate major variances identified.
  • Ensure that the cold store is well managed.
  • Ensure hygiene and maintenance of Food Safety according to FSSC 2000.
  • Act as liaison between production and sales departments in sales planning.
  • Supervise all activities of the packaging stores.
  • Ensuring proper recording of packing materials.
  • Ensure that the re-order levels are maintained.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management / logistics / supply chain.
  • At least 7 years experience in stores management particularly in manufacturing sector.
  • Must be familiar with logistics accounting procedures.
  • Membership with CIPS (Certified Institute of Purchasing Supplies Management).
  • Proven analytical and warehouse / stores management skills.
  • A high level of integrity and reliability.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000 - 150,000/= (Approx. 1,111 - 1,666 USD) depending on experience
