The Company: Del Monte Kenya Limited located in Thika – Kenya
is a leading producer, marketer and distributor of premium quality foods, fresh
and processed pineapple fruit and fruit juice beverages.
Position: Financial & Tax Accountant
Reports to the Chief Accountant.
Purpose: In
charge of all aspects of Tax & Financial compliance for the company.
Ensuring deadlines are met with quality and properly controlled reports.
Key Functions:
- Responsible for the correct maintenance of the
General Ledger under both USGAAP and IFRS
- Handle monthly Group reporting
- Take charge of the annual statutory accounts
- Prepare the annual/quarterly returns to the
KRA together with the quarterly tax returns to the Group
- Overall in-charge of Treasury, Insurance, TREO
etc
- Co-ordinate Sarbanes Oxley compliance
The Person:
The ideal candidate should meet the
following requirements:-
- Aged between 25 and 35 years.
- The candidates must possess a Bachelor of
Commerce Degree or any business related degree with a bias in Finance.
- Must be a CPA Finalist.
- Experience in taxation and a deep
understanding of deferred tax are essential.
- At least five (5) years’ experience.
- Natural team leader who can handle conflicting
priorities with first-rate time management skills.
- The ability to work meticulously and
accurately under pressure.
- Exposure to a major ERP would be beneficial.
