Administrative Assistant Job in Nairobi, Kenya

A medium sized fast, growing, nationwide Savings and Credit society based in Nairobi with an objective of promoting the interest and welfare of members in accordance with the Co-operative principles and values, invites applications from qualified and competent professionals with excellent credentials for the position of Administrative Assistant.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage calendar for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for the Board and the CEO.
  • Assist in resolving administrative problems.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, minute taking, drafts, memos and emails.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
  • Courteously answer calls from customers regarding their inquiries.
  • Maintain office supplies for the Society.
  • Run Society’s errands as may be required.
  • Carry out any other relevant duties as may be directed by the CEO

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal with good command of English and Kiswahili.
  • Ability to work with under pressure and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability to handle all complaints with tact, courtesy and initiative.

  • Very smart appearance.

Qualifications
 
The Administrative Assistant will have the following basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, Mass Communication or any other related field.
  • Two years of hands on administrative support experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment.
