Chai Trading Company Limited is a
wholly owned subsidiary Company of Kenya Tea Development Agency based in
Mombasa.
We are looking for an experienced professional
to fill the position of Stocks Accountant in the company.
Position: Stocks Accountant
The successful candidate will be
expected to discharge the following key responsibilities:-
- Conducting monthly stock takes and
reconciliation for stocks
- Issuance of reconciled stock statements to
respective clients on monthly basis.
- Liaising with clients for analyses and
resolving any variances arising.
- Monitor internal controls governing storage
and movement of producer teas and recommend areas of improvement.
- Conducting end of year stock take, liaising
with clients external auditors to issue stock certificates.
- Establish, implement and monitor system for
tea sample, storage and issuance.
- Provide ad-hoc reports on producer stocks
management as and when shall be required.
- Work closely with the Security Officer and
Assistant Manager Warehouse to investigate and report on any
pilferage/loss of tea.
- Any other duties as assigned by management from
time to time.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- A first degree from a recognized university
- CPA (K)
- 5 years relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills
- Good analytical skills
- Proficiency in computer packages (Ms word, Ms
excel, Ms PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
