Receptionist / Telephone Operator Job in Kenya

The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011.

The primary mandate of the Authority is to obtain unclaimed financial assets from the holders of such assets on behalf of the Government, safeguard and re-unite the assets with their rightful owners. 

UFAA invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position:
 
Receptionist / Telephone Operator
Job Ref: UFAA/11/2015
 

Job Profile: Reporting to the Manager, Administration and HR, the Receptionist, will be responsible for attending to visitors and dealing with inquiries on the phone and face to face, supplying information regarding the Authority to the general public, clients and customers. 


Specifically, s/he will be:
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Taking and relaying messages
  • Providing information to callers
  • Directing clients to the right offices for assistance.
  • Dealing with queries from the public and customers
  • Ensuring knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
  • Monitoring visitor access and maintaining security awareness
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support
  • Preparing correspondence and documents
  • Receiving and sorting mail and deliveries
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Controlling inventory relevant to reception area
  • Tidying and maintaining the reception area
Person Profile
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C+ Plus or its approved equivalent;
  • A certificate in relevant field; and
  • A Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution.
