Options consultancy Services Kenya Ltd invites applications from suitable & qualified persons to fill the following positions:
 
1. Office Cleaner / Gardener
 
Reporting to the Programme Administration Officer, duties and responsibilities at this level includes:
  • Maintain the cleanness of the office, kitchen facilities and bathrooms; dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, washing up in the kitchen, etc
  • Maintain the cleanliness of office curtains and kitchen towels as necessary
  • Identify needed repairs in the house and premises - alert Programme Administration Officer for action
  • Prepare and serve tea to staff and guests during meetings
  • Help the Programme Administration Officer to organize and plan for meetings and gatherings
  • Maintain cleanliness of the entire office compound and the gardens
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Options Kenya and the MANI programme consortium as a whole and to not jeopardize its mission
  • Run small errands as requested by the Programme Administration Officer such as collecting parcels from courier company or post office, etc
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification & other requirements
  • O’level/holder of form four certificate.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, punctual, and clean
  • A working knowledge of English is required
  • Must take initiative and work largely unsupervised
  • Self-starter; self-reliant with excellent organisation, coordination and planning skills
  • Naturally committed and hard-working, with ability to work under pressure
  • Be sympathetic to the needs and aims of the programme and staff
  • Previous office work experience is a plus
2. Programme Drivers
 
Reporting to the Programme Administration Officer, duties and responsibilities at this level includes:
  • Operate MANI Programme vehicles as assigned by supervisor;
  • Maintain vehicle work tickets in accordance with MANI programme policies/regulations;
  • Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to Programme Administration Officer;
  • Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by the supervisor;
  • Prepare vehicle fuel consumption tracking reports for review by the supervisor;
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits & spares;
  • Keep the vehicle ready, fuelled, clean and on standby – ready for use at all times;
  • Assist, as required, with logistical work in the office;
  • Cooperate and be of assistance to staff;
  • Report all maintenance needs of the vehicle to Programme Administration Officer on a regular basis;
  • Undertake field assignments as assigned;
  • Adherence to all MANI Programmes policies and procedures as outlined in MANI Programme policies and procedure manuals;
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Options Kenya & MANI Programme as a whole and to not jeopardize its operations in the country.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification & Other Requirements
  • O’Level/holder of form four certificate.
  • Defensive driving certificate from AAK
  • Valid driving license and experience driving 4WD vehicles.
  • Must respect and adhere to all safety and traffic rules.
  • Basic written & spoken English is a MUST.
  • Knowledge of Bungoma county geographical setup.

  • Atleast 3 years driving experience a plus
