Office Assistant Job in Nairobi, Kenya

IBTCI’s Somalia Program Support Services program contract is seeking an Office Assistant to provide daily administrative support to its field office located in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
Responsibilities:
 

The office assistant will be responsible for
  • Answering phones and greeting visitors;
  • Coordinating meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed;
  • Develops / refines administrative procedures for use throughout SPSS;
  • Provide operational support as needed; assist in ensuring that all program documents are appropriately filed;
  • Maintain and schedule the calendar;
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees; expertly manage assigned task lists.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and command of English and Somali language is required.
  • The applicant must poses one to two years of previous work experience;
  • Experience with international development preferred;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Well-organized, attentive to detail, skilled in meeting deadlines, and ability to manage
  • Multiple tasks; pro-active in anticipating work requirements and problem solving;
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and experience with using and researching the Internet.
