- First degree from a recognized University, CPA
(K) in or its equivalent
- Membership to a professional Accountancy body
- At least 7 years relevant experience, of which
should be as an Internal Auditor or Accountant.
- Membership of a Recognized professional body
e.g. CISA, CIA etc will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will carry
out
- Risk assessment in consultation with line
managers,
- Prepare risk based audit plans,
- Execute detailed audit procedures including
reviewing
- transactions,
- documents
- records when need arises,
- Review internal controls with respect to the
mandate of the department and give recommendations to ensure compliance
with existing laws policies, regulations and instructions,
- Review audit working papers.
- Develop review audit guidelines ad systems,
- Design and develop sound internal auditing
systems responsive to the Needs of the company
- Ensure the maintenance of high audit standards
within their areas,
- Carry out investigations competently when need
arises
- Provide assistance to external auditors when
requested
- Supervise and train on the job staff working
under him/her
- Any other duties that may be assigned by
management.
