Job Title: Eastern Region Territory Manager

Our client is a leading cereal manufacturer and importer. They seek to hire a self- driven Territory Manager to work with the appointed distributors in Eastern Region to ensure that their brand is available all times in the region.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities through long lasting distributors’ partnerships
  • Managing existing distributors
  • Support the distributors in all sales & marketing activities
  • Setting targets for distributors and supervising achievability of those targets
  • Managing a team of sales reps who will be attached to the distributors
  • Reporting on all sales and marketing activities
  • Introducing new products into the markets
  • Ensuring availability of operations resources for the distributors and the team
  • Overseeing timely delivery of the products to the distributors
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis surveys
  • Penetrating new markets within the region
  • Ensuring product visibility
  • Maintain and identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Build sound relationships with distributors.
  • Responsible for managing pricing structures of the company’s products
  • Stay knowledgeable on current and developing trends in the foodservice marketplace
  • Recording orders and sending details to the sales office
  • Debt collection
Job Requirements
  • Between age 30- 35 years old
  • A minimum degree in sales and marketing or Bachelor’s degree in commerce. A postgraduate diploma in sales and marketing will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in managing distributor sales in FMCG Preferably – with experience in Eastern region
  • Have a proven track record of developing new business and growing sales in existing accounts
  • Enjoy working independently, while still being team-orientated
  • Possess an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
