Vacancy: Accountant
Jenga Web Ltd dynamic, small but fast
growing ICT and web Development Company, whose work focuses on, though is not
exclusive to, the Kenyan Property sector.
We also create corporate logos and
branding.
We currently require a well-qualified
Accountant with experience of business administration and the ability to keep
day-to-day oversight of all company financial matters to include the issue of
customer invoices, records of amounts receivable, amounts payable, petty cash
administration and debt collection.
This position reports to the Managing
Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting,
Finance or Business Administration
- Certified Public Accountant status (CPA/CIMA/
ACCA)
- A thorough knowledge of accepted accounting
practices and principles, economic principles, auditing practices and
principles and a knowledge of the applicable laws, codes and regulations
of the Republic of Kenya
- Knowledge and experience of MS Office, with
demonstrable competency in Excel
- Proficiency with QuickBooks computer software
- At least 3 years experience in SME
administrative and financial management
- Good inter-personal oral and written
communication skills
- A proven ability to work under pressure and
meet strict deadlines
- Ability to keep day-to-day oversight of all
company financial administration to include: issue of customer invoices,
record of amounts receivable, amounts payable, petty cash administration
and debt collection.
Job Description:
- Compile and analyse financial information to
prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
- Ensure financial records are maintained in
compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are
met
- Prepare financial management reports
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly
and year end close
- Establish and monitor the implementation and
maintenance of accounting control procedures
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and
irregularities
- Continuous management and support of budget
and forecast activities
- Monitor and support taxation issues
- Develop and maintain financial data bases
- Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the
audit process
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and
analysis of revenues and expenses
- Analyze and advise on business operations
including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future
revenues
- Analyze financial information to recommend or
develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic
recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
Salary Range: Kshs 50,000 – 80,000 per month (gross)
depending on qualification and experience.
