Our client is a start-up company that is transforming healthcare in Kenya
through a chain of outpatient health clinics that offer excellent medical &
patient care.
At the moment, they have two major
clinics operating in Nairobi and they are also looking to growth the
network.
They seek to hire a Branch Manager
for one of the Clinics who will oversee the day to day general and management
operations. Preferred candidates should be from Eastlands area
Key Responsibilities
- Leads employees to accomplish all job
objectives; inspires confidence and motivation; clearly defines
expectations, and maintains personal effectiveness under pressure.
- Develops, monitors and analyzes budget and
financial information and utilizes all resources in an effective and
economical manner
- Maintains a system of confidentiality
according to Health System's policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements policies and
procedures to meet regulations.
- Identifies and understands customers of the
clinic. Formulates and monitors working relationships which adhere to the
customer standards
- Works across organization in assisting with
area of expertise; i.e. nursing, employee health, medical records, quality
assurance. Serves as role model for all staff.
- Practices effective problem identification and
resolution skills as a method of sound decision making
- Determines and demonstrates effective
communication methods and defines appropriate lines of authority for the
clinic in keeping with administrative structure.
- Sets and communicates Physician Group clinic standards
in keeping with regulatory agencies and Health System policies. Develops
and monitors standards to comply with safety, infection control and
customer relations standards.
- Defines and implements annual physician clinic
goals in keeping with the Health System's mission, vision and strategic
plan.
- Identifies and participates in special
projects and develops standards and competencies related to
implementation.
- Identifies needs for research activities and
implements a plan.
- Supervises, hires, transfers, promotes,
assigns, rewards, counsels, disciplines and discharges appropriate
employees of the clinic according to the policies and procedures
- Maintain safe and professional working and
treatment environment in the clinic. Mitigate, remove and/or resolve any
potential risks, hazards, and nuisances.
- Maintain a pleasant and professional treatment
environment. Enhance customer satisfaction through the provision of
customized treatment, and supporting high
- Plans, evaluates, recommends and implements
new initiatives when appropriate
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Public health/Medical
Services/ business management/ Community Development
- Candidates in the medical field (clinic &
hospital) preferred
- Minimum 4 to 5 years experience with 1 or 2
managing a clinic/ medical facility
- Open minded to learn, can work under minimum
supervision
- Must possess god working computing skills,
operations and filing skills
- Strong team player
- Go-getter, who can take initiative and work
independently
- Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative,
passionate
- Able to connect with people and obtain their
trust and respect
- Demonstrates efficiency and professionalism
also under stress
- Able to manage time and keep an overview of
key priorities
