Nature Kenya - the East Africa Natural History Society - is Africa’s oldest scientific Society, established in 1909 to promote the study and conservation of nature in East Africa. 

To achieve its mission “connecting nature and people” Nature Kenya delivers a programme to save species, conserve habitats, promote ecological sustainability and empower people. 

To manage and sustain these activities Nature Kenya is seeking to recruit dedicated, highly motivated, result oriented and innovative  individuals as follows:

1. Species and Sites Manager: to develop and implement an effective programme of conservation action for priority species, sites and habitats. 

Key qualifications include: At least a Master’s degree in Wildlife Management or related field; demonstrable excellent proposal writing skills; track record in project management, monitoring, evaluation and donor reporting; experience in species and site action planning, statistical analysis and strategic planning
 
2. Administration Officer: to provide services to staff including IT, internet maintenance, procurement services, office management, staff and equipment insurance and banking among others. 

Key qualifications include: 3 years experience in IT, internet, procurement, insurance and other admin functions.

3. Programmes Assistant: to answer institutional correspondence, organise meetings and provide technical support to conservation programmes, among others. 

Key qualification include: University degree in natural resource management field, excellent spoken and writing skills, ability to multi-task and relate to a wide range of professionals and staff.

4. Conservation Officer - Local Empowerment:
 to build local community capacity in leadership, governance and management. 

Key qualifications include: University degree in relevant field, 2 years experience in conservation and development initiatives, knowledge in socio-economic data collection tools and their application, and dedication, commitment and ability to meet deadlines.
 
5. Conservation Officer - Advocacy: to contribute to policy and legislation implementation and safeguards for ecological sustainability. 

Key qualifications include: university degree in natural resource management field, excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills and 2 years experience in policy analysis or implementation or advocacy engagement in nature conservation.
