Our client, in solar business is
seeking to recruit a Logistics Officer to
be in charge of their logistics and channel distribution.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Salary: 100K – 120K
- To co-ordinate and provide logistics support
to on-going air, land, sea or rail operation in the country.
- To assess and organize logistics in-terms of
transport requirements, receipt, handling, storage and distribution of
items and establish proper warehousing and recording systems.
- To establish a detailed procurement program
plan to determine appropriate specifications of required items, according
to established guidelines and procedures and in coordination with Supply
Management Service (SMS)
- To prepare for receipt of international
shipments, and liaise with competent authorities for tax exemptions, port
clearances, etc. and the timely delivery of cargo.
- Devise methods of stock control, closely
monitor warehousing management, and regularly submit situation reports on
stocks, equipment and prepositioned goods.
- Good knowledge on international business.
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressively responsible
professional work experience at national and international level in
logistics.
- Degree in Supply Chain
Management/Logistics/Procurement
- Varied supply/logistics functional background,
from procurement to warehousing, transport management and distribution to
distribution
- Must have done channel distribution
- High integrity
- Ready to travel
