Job Title: Clinical Officer Ophthalmology

Will have the overall responsibility
for the daily clinical assessment and prescription of treatment for all
patients attending the eye health unit
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing routine medical assessment and

- Medical assessment and referral where
necessary
- Supervising and counseling of staff engaged in
routine patient’s care

Reporting to the County Director of
Medical Services, the Doctor will have the following duties:
- Provide consultations at the eye clinic
- Diagnose and manage ophthalmic cases including
performing surgeries appropriately
- Increase community awareness to participation
in eye care
- Take part in planning and participating in eye
camps
- Ensure that all assessments and treatment
provided are properly documented on patients’ files.
- Admit patients to the wards when necessary and
manage appropriately

Physical Planning and Urban Development
Responsible of ensuring spatial planning in a region in the county, management of development of urban areas, Development control
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise all physical planning activities and
continually monitor projects during construction phase and works directly
with the architectural and engineering inspectors to ensure that plans and
specifications are followed and construction problems are minimized.
- Act as a primary agent for the sub counties in
all matters dealing spatial planning, applications for development and
conflict resolution.
- Perform field investigation to ensure conformity
to zoning codes, design regulation and/ or approved plans and projects.
- Perform various administrative functions for
the department, including accepting applications and permits for
processing and composing correspondences.
- Prepare an integrated land use with relevant
stakeholders for the use by Land Boards and other allocating authorities.
- Assist in developing county policies, legal
and institutional framework for the implementation of the mandate of the
department.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned by
the chief officer Lands, Housing and Physical Planning.
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional
Planning or Environmental Planning and management from a University
recognized in Kenya.
- Have at least two (2) years’ experience in
Physical Planning or Environmental Planning and Management
- Demonstrate a high degree of professional and
technical competence as reflected in work performance and results.
- Be proficient in computer Aided Designs (CAD)
or Geographical Information System (GIS)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Registered with relevant professional body.
- Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the
Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.

- Provide leadership in county government

- Undertake valuation of county properties and
provide for taxation of land.
- Responsible for acquisition and disposal of
land for County Government departments

Requirements for
appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in housing
administration, real estates, housing and property management or any other
relevant field from a recognized university in Kenya
- A master degree in Housing administration,
estate management and maintenance or property management will be an added
advantage.
- Be registered with relevant professional body
- Have knowledge and experience in valuation,
estates, housing or property management of not less than five (5) years;
three(3 ) of which should be in senior position
- Be conversant with prevailing property laws
