Our client is a large power management organisation working on
some of the largest power projects in the country and requires a powerline
designer, a valuer and a social economist to work on the power projects in
several counties in the county.
1. Powerline Designers (1 lead designer and 2 assistants)
Requirements:
- Lead
designer must have BSc. Degree in Electrical engineering and must be
registered with IEK. The assistants must possess diploma in electrical
engineering.
- Should
have at least 3 years experience in power line designs (preferably using
utility software).
- Must
have skills in design of the HV and LV networks, preparation of route
details and poles positioning, profiles and drawings using CAD software.
Electrical and mechanical calculations of the lines, preparation of poles
schedules and detailed bills of quantities.
2. Valuer
Requirements:
- The
lead valuer must have B.A in Land Economics and should be a registered
valuer
- Must
have at least 3 years experience and be a Full Member of ISK.
- Submit
written assessments of value of the Wayleaves and affected property.
- Provide
consultancy advice on valuation matters and determination of compensation.
2. A Social Economist
Requirements:
- Must
have a degree in Social Science.
- The
role is to assist in dealing with social issues and communities affected
by power transmission.
- Must
have at least 2 years in dealing with social issues during execution of large
projects.
- Must
be adaptive and willing to work in any part of the country.
