Our client is one of the top 100 mid-sized companies that blends, packs and
distributes quality herbal and flavored teas.
They seek to hire an all rounded
accountant to handle the day to day accounting and finance functions of the
company. Candidates with a background in manufacturing are encouraged to

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing the general accounting functions of
the company.
- Budgeting, cash flow management, records
management and accounts analysis.
- Oversee strategic planning and implementation.
- Managing the accounting department including
the team.
- Supervising both supplier Reconciliations
& Payments in Time & accurate manner
- Oversee Payroll/Variable Preparation.
- Handling all tax related issues includes NHIF,
NSSF, PAYE, VAT etc.
- Handling all the accounts receivable and
payables
- Oversee Accurate Bank and Cashbook
Reconciliations
- Forecasting - Cash position/projections
&Cash planning
- Monitoring Balance sheet and Income Statement
account movements and ensuring that they reflect the correct balances
- Ensuring all relevant account reconciliations
are performed and corrective actions taken in time
- Cost accounting
- Oversee accurate Stock Reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with various legal
requirements regarding licenses, rates, labor laws and tax returns.
- Accurate and Timely delivery on Management,
Financial, Budget and Variance Reports
- Developing an Appropriate filing System
- Facilitating annual external audits in
accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Assisting in the development and adherence of
current and long-term organizational goals and objectives as well as
policies and procedures for the organization
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or
related field.
- CPA-K qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an
accountant.
- Must have experience managing a small team.
- Exposure to International Financial Reporting
