Vacancy: Legal Documentation Manager, Retail

The Position:Reporting to Head, Securities & Documentation Centre, the Legal Documentation Manager – Retail, will provide legal support on loan documentation for retail facilities, manage the documentation process and ensure compliance on collateral conditions prior to disbursement of these facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a central point of reference, support and advice on retail legal documentation.
  • Manage issuance and processing of offer letters upon receipt of duly approved credit papers observing agreed timelines and high standards of accuracy and within applicable law, bank policies and regulations.
  • Manage conveyancing and loan documentation activities, end-to-end ensuring effective support to the retail branches at every stage of documentation
  • Managing vetting  and/or review all security documents for completeness, clarity and ensure that all legal risks are adequately covered
  • Liaise with external lawyers and other service providers on security documentation process and ensure that security documents and other conditions have been perfected/ completed prior to drawdown of facilities
  • Manage Issuance of  Compliance Certificates for purposes of disbursement of loan facilities
  • Ensure MIS maintenance with respect to TAT, exceptions, security movement and others as may be required for tracking of documents and performance and exceptions.
  • Coordinate and provide training to the retail business team on legal issues pertaining security instruments and protection of the same
  • Supervise and motivate all staff within the retail section of the department
  • Monitoring changes/ reviews in Law and Case law to ensure that the Bank’s security documents are up to date and comply with those changes/ reviews.
The Person

For the above position, the successful applicants should have:
  • University degree in Law from a recognized University; Post Graduate Diploma in Law.
  • Legal practicing license is required
  • Masters of Law or Master’s Degree is added advantage
  • 5 years’ experience in Legal Practice; 4 of which must have been experience acquired Post Admission to the Bar.
  • 2 years’ experience in Credit and legal documentation
  • Team leadership skills.
  • French or other foreign language skills will be a strong added advantage.

Vacancy: Country Security Manager

The Position: Reporting to the Head of Operations, the job holder will be responsible for the oversight of Physical security and safety of KCB Bank South Sudan Premises (Branches, Business Offices, Record Archives), employees (Premises health and safety), Assets (Building, Cash, Cash-in-transit, Fixtures & Furniture, Business Equipment Vehicles, Computers, Machinery) and customer safety.


Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation of Group security policy, enforcement of standards, controls, processes and regulatory determined procedures for Physical Security and Safety.
  • Develop and execute the annual Departmental Plan and budget within approved limits.
  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity, Risk, and Compliance Management & Regulatory Controls for Business Requirements regarding Security and Safety.
  • Relationship Management and engagement of Key Stakeholders: Head of Operations, Security Service Providers (Guarding, Electronic Security) Law Enforcement Agencies (Police, Intelligence), Branch Managers, Statutory bodies

The Person
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Security related from an institution recognized by Commission for University Education.

  • A minimum of 10 years work experience in the following areas;
  • 5 years’ experience in Senior Law
  • Security management in Banking /Corporate environment

The Position: Reporting to the Managing Director, KCB South Sudan, the Treasurer will provide efficient and effective delivery of the full range of treasury products including foreign exchange, fixed income, corporate services and off balance sheet products to achieve the unit’s business growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage and execute strategies (Group & Subsidiary-specific) to ensure performance targets are exceeded;
  • Money Market trading: Develop and execute strategies for investment of surplus funds in treasury bills, bonds and other money market instruments;
  • Manage the dealing activity end to end so as to ensure that all the Bank’s interests are protected at all times and financial targets are met;
  • Liquidity and Cash Management functions: Ensure that the Bank meets all external and internal liquidity requirements and that proper contingency plans are in place to address excess and deficient liquidity incidences in line with the Bank policy and Procedures;
