Customer Relations Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya

Our client, a Logistic company, based in Nairobi is seeking a Customer Relations Manager to be responsible for establishing and maintaining long term relationships with its clients. 

The position requires an individual with excellent sales or customer relationship handling skills, proven by respective experience and references in a LOGISTIC COMPANY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the existing customer relationships, including transportation requests, cargo documentation, invoicing, and debt collection, claims management, input for reporting, contract renewal, related negotiations, and all other aspects.
  • Identify opportunities to grow volumes with existing customers.
  • Develop new business and new customer relationships for business unit, by signing new long-term contracts.
  • Identify and grow client base through various sales channels including direct selling, agent partnerships.
  • Take full responsibility for the achievement of individual key performance indicators; mainly sales volumes and revenues targets.
  • Act as the key interface between customer and internal divisions in order to effectively plan and manage loading and offloading schedules.
  • Translate customer requirements into internal action, i.e. planning and manage loading and offloading schedules as well as plan required capacity.
  • Keep abreast of steel industry activities and recommend any necessary action to grow potential business.
  • Proactively identify and address issues arising in your area of business, and find creative solutions in a timely manner.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a university degree from a recognized institution.
  • Understanding of logistics and transportation industry.
  • Must have 3 years’ experience in areas such as customer service, sales & marketing, or customer relationship management in a logistics company.
  • Project and/or event management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial personality.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
