Quality Controller

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in Horticulture
  • Experience.  Minimum 3 years in flower industry
  • Product knowledge, IT knowledge, good supervisory and interpersonal skills,
  • Capable to co-ordinate staff and ensure daily deadlines are met, capable to prepare accurate timely reports
  • Qualities:-High Integrity, prepared to work long hours, good communication skills and reliability.
  • Excellent English language skills;
Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in quality control and assurance checks in Post-Harvest to ensure conformity with the set standards of the company for all products and to ensure that the end-product is free from pest and diseases, mechanical damages and conform to set quality standards of the company at sustainable cost.
  • To conduct regular quality control training to all PH employees to be knowledgeable of the company’s quality requirements and standards
  • Control losses within the company at the lowest level possible.
  • Inform the Post-Harvest Manager of all quality deviations developed during storage, sizing, grading, bunching and final storage
  • Ensure trial names are properly written on a sticker on each SFK bunch.
  • Participate in the weekly vase life test and check daily the vase life and give feedback to Export and production department.
Pack House Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining quality product output
  • Ensuring flowers are processed as per the customer specifications
  • Proper control of company resources Control, development and performance appraisal for the packhouse team
  • Provide leadership and direction on all packhouse issues
  • Packhouse documentation accuracy and consistency
  • Efficient product grading and processing
  • Enforcement of health and safety procedures and policies
Personal Profile
  • Mature disposition, unquestionable integrity with meticulous approach to work
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic, able to take initiative and inspire others
  • Goal oriented and ability to work independently
Requirements
  • Either a degree or a diploma preferably in agricultural related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and packhouse operations
  • Some knowledge in marketing and sales will be an added advantage.
Human Resources Manager (HR Manager)

Role Overview:   

We are seeking to fill in a position of Human Resources Manager to manage the company human capital.

The HR Manager will report to the managing director, work closely with Production, Post Harvest, and Security Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:    

The HR Manager will have the following responsibilities:
  • Manage employee attendance and leave administration
  • Lead the recruitment, selection and hiring process for employees and contractors;
  • Maintain a recruitment and selection database;
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Ensure effective man power planning to achieve optimum quality and quantity of staffing levels for realization of the Firm’s goals
  • Develop and manage metrics for human capital;
  • Conduct induction and orientation process of new employees to enhance employee engagement and achieve optimum productivity within a short duration.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. 
  • Manage employee records and information while maintaining utmost confidentiality and in compliance to the governing Labour laws.
  • Develop and manage an employee welfare program;
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Overseas over 600 employees of the farm
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources from a recognized University, Professional qualification in human resources e.g. Higher National Diploma or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of local hiring laws and labor regulations;
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to articulate and present points of view and ideas effectively;
  • 5 years’ experience of which 2 should be in a management position
  • Proficiency in Human Resource Management Information Systems
