Our client a leading Furniture Company is seeking to recruit Furniture Workshop Manager for its Nairobi branch. 

The incumbent will be tasked with the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily planning and monitoring of furniture construction work to ensure efficient use of resources and meeting of customer requirements.
  • Effectively processing of furniture orders to ensure customer requirements in terms of Quality and delivery time are met.
  • Verification of job cards to ensure accuracy.
  • Verification of Bill of Material to ensure accuracy.
  • Following up furniture orders to ensure work is going on as planned.
  • Processing of service work and ensuring meeting of deadlines.
  • Effectively registering and addressing of customer complaints.
  • Establishing the root causes, preventive action and implementation of preventive action/solutions of customer complaints reported.
  • Updating work in progress.
  • Ensuring maintenance of carpenters and service team discipline.
  • Compiling and submission of reports as per company requirements.
  • Formally transferring of finished work to next relevant sections.
  • Collection of accessories from the stores for use by carpenters.
  • Counter checking job in hand against order requirements at every stage of production.
  • Updating worksheets/ time sheets for carpenters.
  • Maintaining efficiency in the area
  • Responsible for products or parts thereof within the sections.
Key Result Areas
  • Meeting of deadlines (carpentry work, service work and complaints response).
  • Internal / external rejects-complaints arising from carpentry section.
  • Establishment of root causes, solution/preventive actions and implementation of solutions of customer complaints reported.
Professional Qualification
  • Diploma in related  field
  • 4 years experience in the same field

Our client is a furniture store currently recruiting an Upholstery Manager (Carpentry)

Qualities and Skills:With managerial skills, efficient, good interpersonal skills, presentable, a great planner and one who can work without supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Salary: KES 30,000 - 34,000
