Summary: Kinyeti Venture Capital is a private equity
investment company offering risk capital to profitable private sector
enterprises in South Sudan. The company was established in mid-2012 as a joint
venture between Norfund and Swedfund.
We also offer Technical Assistance
(TA) to investee companies if and when necessary i.e. training, management
support, governance, etc and play an active role in following up on
investments.
To support the management of our
growing portfolio and to harness the immense investment potential that exists
within South Sudan, we are seeking to fill the position of an Investment Controller.
The successful candidate will report
to the Senior Investment Manager.

Job Purpose: You will be responsible for the financial operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with international financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities
a) Preparation of financial reports,
forecast and analysis of Kinyeti Venture Capital.
b) Management of the ESG process
including accounting the Technical Assistance Funds
c) Assist the Investment team in post
investment portfolio follow up which will entail:
- Managing financial reporting and analysis of
portfolio companies
- Evaluation of financial documents and
financial controls of portfolio companies
- Ensure quality control of portfolio management
process
- Assist in managing compliance with ESG
covenants and to increase awareness of the issues with a view to helping
clients reach international standards.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree or above in
economics, finance, accounting or a related field; professional
qualifications related to financing and Private Equity/ Venture
investments is desirable
- Professional qualification such as CPA and CFA
are mandatory for this position
- 2 - 3 years relevant business experience at
operative positions in finance and preferable in private
equity/Venture Capital
- Experience in SME financing is desirable
- Experience of working in post conflict areas
will be an advantage
- Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft
Office Suite and, in particular financial modelling in excel
