Job Objectives: To ensure that the bottling process meets the product and packaging quality requirements as well as assure quality of blown bottles and Incoming inspection

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct Calibrations
  • Calibrate measuring equipment as in master list.
  • Report on measuring equipment and submit error report.
Assured Production of Quality Product
  • Follow SOP for monitoring quality on the production line and syrup room.
  • Ensures implementation of steps to deal with non-conforming product, and take immediate action.
  • Run SPC programme on respective lines.
  • Collect and test retention samples.
  • Sign off simple syrup and final syrup for production.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Participate in root cause analyses to resolve quality issues.
Perform Housekeeping
  • Ensure all lab equipment is cleaned after use.
  • Monitor GMP on lines and in syrup room.
  • Maintain lab housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain 5S standards in lab and support teams on line with 5S.  
Experience:
  • 2 years’ of relevant experience
Skills and Certification:
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Food Technology (Bachelor of Sciences degree would be ideal)

Primary Responsibilities:

Source Commodities


  • Identify reputable suppliers based on supply capacity, service and quality offering
Supplier Contract Negotiations
  • Request, consolidate and analyze supplier proposals for optimal cost, quality and value
  • Ensure best fit for business need contracts are negotiated
  • Conclude the contract
Manage the Performance of KPI's
  • Determine the commodity savings and the delivery thereof - declare savings target
  • Manage supplier evaluations by consolidating the company results and providing support where necessary
Procurement Finance Management and Administration
  • Track trends in terms of commodities, prices and inflation
  • Ensure actual costs incurred are in line with approved budget
  • Delivery SLA requirements in terms of support.
  • Provide ad hoc support and assistance as required
Experience:
  • 5 Years business experience of which 3 years are in commercial procurement. 
  • At least 2 years in purchasing of Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies and services. 
  • SAP experience preferred.
