Pernod
Ricard Kenya, a co-leader in the world of wines and spirits is looking for two (2) Trade
Marketing Executives, one for the Kenya market and another for the
East Africa region.
The Trade Marketing Executives will
specifically be responsible for the following:
- Implementing local trade marketing strategies & executing initiatives that build brand value and achieve volume and profitability objectives;
- Liaising with local distributor representatives to ensure superior execution of trade marketing activations, brand image and visibility;
- Prepare, adhere and monitor the trade marketing budgets within the respective jurisdiction to maximize A&P investments;
- Asset Management: source POS, manage logistics and lifespan of brand assets in respective market;
- Building strong awareness and analysis of market trends by proactively monitoring, evaluating and reporting competitor activity related to trade marketing i.e. promotions, merchandising and category management;
- Identifying and proposing key brand visibility solutions across the markets;
- Creating databases and constantly updating records touching on resources allocated to On & Off Trade accounts;
- Facilitating product training, developing tailor- made programs & promotions and providing operational support; and
- Representing the brands at events, with the sales force, trade, consumers, public relations agencies, press, etc.
The successful candidate should have
the following qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Business Administration or Marketing;
- Commercial and marketing experience within a consumer goods or premium goods organization, for at least three (3) to five (5) years;
- Sense of business and strategic agility;
- High computer literacy: reporting and presentations with fluent use and application of spreadsheet and database programs i.e. Excel or Access;
- High level of creativity and awareness of new trends (fashion, arts, restaurants, travel, etc.)
- Building effective relationships across the organization and with key stakeholders;
- Ability to navigate in an amorphous environment;
- Ability to effectively manage and embody premium brands; and
- Effectively interact and gauge consumer behaviour.
