Vacancy: Nairobi Branch Orthopaedic Technologist

The APDK Nairobi Branch seeks to employ a self-motivated Nairobi Branch Orthopaedic Technologist to supervise and manager orthopaedic services offered in the orthopaedic workshop situated in Nairobi.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • To lead the orthopaedic services department programs to realise its goals and objectives.
  • Take responsibility over the day-to-day running of orthopaedic services workshop.
  • Organize, direct, motivate, and coordinate orthopaedic workshop department services and staff.
  • Control the acquisition of resources including requisition of raw material, manpower structuring and job allocation.
  • Ensure good customer care and quality service provision to all clients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer and client records.
  • Submit regular reports to management as required.

Qualifications:
  • A WFOT recognized Diploma in Orthopaedic technology from a recognized institution.
  • Over 2 years management experience in orthopaedic service provision supervising at least four staff in an orthopedic workshop set up.
  • A good working knowledge of technological advances in the area or orthopedics.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and safety practices in a workshop set up.
  • Knowledge of computer packages especially excel spread sheets will be an added advantage.

Vacancy: Occupational Therapist

We wish to recruit an Occupational Therapist to support rehabilitation services in the Nairobi.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carrying out Occupational therapy and rehabilitative activities to patients.
  • Training patients in various Occupational therapy methods and use of Occupational Therapy appliances.
  • Preparing Work plans and budgets for Occupational Therapy activities and submit them to the management;
  • Maintaining Client records and preparation of departmental activity reports.
  • Marketing the Services of the Facility to would be clients and other partners.  

Qualifications

Possess a Diploma in occupational therapy from a WFOT recognized Institution.
  • Must be registered and licensed with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
  • Should possess not less than one year working experience in a busy institution offering occupation therapy services.
  • Pleasant personality with a Positive attitude attractive to Children.
  • Strong willingness and commitment to work with persons with Disabilities.  
  • Persons living with Physical Disabilities are encouraged to apply
