Roles & Responsibilities
  • Participate in formulation of marketing and business development strategies that will increase the market share for the different EAPCC products in the region across all customer categories
  • Develop, update and implement efficient and effective business processes to define and guide the end to end supply chain for EAPCC to ensure timely and maximum production at minimum costs
  • Develop the operations function’s annual demand plan including sales forecasts for the different products and a resource deployment plan to support achievement of forecasts
  • Initiate, defend and execute major operational improvement, capacity enhancement and new revenue generation projects
  • Work with the team leads of the different functions under operations to set periodic performance target to guide production, sales and distribution
  • Manage the operations and maintenance staff to ensure timely production and distribution of products within quality standards and optimum production costs
  • Lead the business development team in promoting EAPCC and its product and service offerings with a view to maximise market penetration by increasing market share, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and its reputation as a market leader
  • Lead, develop and oversee the execution of all quality systems required within EAPCC including strategic development and auditing of these systems
  • Implement and document new or improved physical supply chain processes including workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, and system flows
  • Partner with the Human Resource team to promote compliance to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental issues associated with EAPCC’s operations in accordance with statutory and Health and Safety requirements as well as the organisation’s Health and Safety policy
  • Partner with the Human Resource team to ensure that human capital management requirements including resourcing, training and performance management are adequately provided for within the unit
Requirements
  • An undergraduate Degree in Engineering or relevant technical field
  • Training in organisational management approaches such as Total Quality Management
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in operations management seven of which should be at senior management level in a comparable organisation
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Demonstrable knowledge leading or participating in change management initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
  • Strong track record in project management
  • Demonstrated business acumen and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Clearance from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Kenya Revenue Authority and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission

EAPPC Chief Finance Officer

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and update an appropriate financial policy framework aligned to EAPCC’s strategic objectives is in place to guide financial decision making and development
  • Oversee all financial and fiduciary responsibilities for the organisation, in conjunction with the board of directors and the finance, audit, and other committees of the board
  • Inform key strategic decisions by providing variance analyses , identifying added-value reporting opportunities from trend analyses and interpreting these findings with other function heads to assist forecasting and budgeting requirements
  • Oversee long-term budgetary planning, cost and credit management in alignment with EAPCC’s strategic plan
  • Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction initiatives
  • As a member of the procurement committee, participate in the development of prequalification requirements for third party service providers as well as the periodic prequalification process of selecting EAPCC service providers
  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as lead times, and distribution costs
  • Partner with the Chief Information Officer to procure and/ or implement specialised Enterprise Resource Management systems aimed at generating value to the business through improved governance and more effective internal control processes
  • Work with other functional heads to maintain internal control safeguards to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and standards, reliability and integrity of financial informations and efficient and effective operations
  • Provide full financial and accounting services to all of EAPCC’s functional heads including departmental financial analysis and professional advice to assist the heads in making appropriate budgetary and forecasting decisions
  • Ensure optimisation of EAPCC’s treasury options through maintaining strong relationships and develop new relationships with banks and other financial institutions with the aim of securing the funds necessary for the operations of the firm as well as competitive rates for all financial transactions made with these institutions
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems and ensuring compliance with appropriate financial standards, regulatory budgetary and audit requirements
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting through development of reliable cash flow projection processes and reporting as well as initiating appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions
  • Monitor the financial performance of EAPCC by measuring and analysing results and advising leadership on corrective actions to be initiated as relates to minimising the impact of variances
  • Oversee the accurate, complete and timely preparation of statutory annual reports including monthly management accounts and balance sheet controls
  • Manage the annual audit process in conjunction with the internal audit team and appointed auditors to ensure statutory accounts are produced within the required deadlines
  • Work with the human resource department to ensure that human capital management requirements including resourcing, training and performance management are adequately provided for within the unit
Requirements
  • An undergraduate Degree in Commerce or any other business related field
  • Fully qualified professional accountant (CPAK or ACCA Finalist)
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in finance and accounting seven of which should be at senior management level in a comparable organisation
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of current financial issues including financial standards and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Demonstrable knowledge leading or participating in change management initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Clearance from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Kenya Revenue Authority and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
