Line Management Responsibilities:
None
The Project
Accountant will be accountable for the ongoing analysis of the project,
identifying process constraints, tracking and informing the Project Manager on
budget variances, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying
activities.
Key Duties and Tasks:
Data Collection
- Collate information relating to specific project and produce relevant reports for different areas of the business.
- Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems
Inventory
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
- Update standard costs in the original costing model.
- Review costing model and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Analysis
- Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
- Track and report on progress of project vs. current spend
- Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
- Analyze capital budgeting spend and requests
- Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the larger finance team.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of CPA 2 with a degree in Finance / Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in cost accounting will be an added advantage.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge and experience in SAGE will be an added.
