AFEX wishes
to recruit a competent, innovative and self-driven person to fill the following
position:
Finance Intern
The
successful candidate will be responsible for working with the treasury to do
daily cash balances reports, Monthly and daily cash sales as well as do
purchases on VAT report
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash sales and Banking uploads for Loki, Ngamia & Ekales camps.
- Vat input and output monthly returns for cash sales
- Petty cash uploads for Afex Kenya & Savanna canvas.
- Supervising all petty cash fillings and petty cash vouchers
- Handling petty cash uploads for the camps
- Clearing of AR accounts – write offs/on
- Supervision of AP filings
- Customer reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining head office petty cash
- Auditing of petty cash vouchers & preparing the petty cash ledger
- Processing/ booking of invoices
- Supplier reconciliations and Ad-hoc duties to support the business
Requirements:
- At least CPA 3 or fresh graduate in Finance
- High degree of professional integrity and ability to work effectively in a team based, multi-cultural environment.
- Capacity to deliver timely results, under pressure, with minimum supervision.
- Ability to solve problems, prioritise and show good communication skills.
