Kiambu County Assembly Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following vacant position:

Director Finance and Administration
KCASB 11
One Position

The Finance and Administration Directorate is coordinated by the Director / Finance & Administration and comprises the following units:
  1. Administration Department
  2. Human Resource Management
  3. Accounts and Finance Department
  4. Internal Audit Department
  5. Information and Technology Department

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong organizational, analytical, financial management and administrative skills
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation
  • Oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Advise on appropriate technology that meets the organization’s information and technology requirements and financial resources
  • Oversee and supervise the administrative function of the Assembly
  • Oversee the management of all leases, contracts and other financial commitments made by the Assembly

Requirements for Appointment
  • Master’s in Business Administration Accounting and/or Finance option
  • Bachelor of Administration /Commerce Accounting and/or Finance option
  • Professional Accounting qualifications (CPA (K)/ACCA equivalent)
  • Member of ICPAK
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel and Power Point and knowledge of financial software programs IFMIS and IPPD;
  • Must have 7 years working experience and 5 years in senior Finance and/or Accounting Management in Public Service or a recognized institution.

In addition, interested applicants should submit certificates of clearance from the Ethics & Anti-corruption Commission, Higher Education Loans Board, Kenya Revenue Authority and Certificate of Good Conduct as part of compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
