Customer Care Executive (Exports) - Mombasa

Our client in the FMCG industry is urgently recruiting for the position of an exports sales team leader. The Customer service Executive shall ensure that the needs of customers are being satisfied.

With all the Export Procedures being fulfilled in an aim is to provide excellent customer service and to promote this idea throughout the Export Division.

The ideal candidate shall be tasked with the responsibility of supervising all customer care executives and all declaration clerks.

He/ She will be reporting to the Senior Manager Exports and will be working closely with the production departments, supply chain, and the accounts department.  

Key Responsibilities

Customer care: S/he must address all customer complaints expeditiously. This should be followed up with communication to the customer in writing and verbally.

Documentation & KRA Compliance: S/he should ensure that the declaration clerk has lodged E101 & E112 on time.  S/he should follow up for Outstanding Export Entries & Certificate of Exports.

Account receivable management: S/he should follow up for outstanding payments & send debtors report as required.

Sales volume: S/he should ensure that the CSEs call our primary and secondary customers everyday then circulate the call reports as required. S/he should attend the daily planning meetings to ensure quick order conversion. S/he has to provide the monthly forecast for non-standard products to the production team. During the last week of the month, s/he should send the forecast daily.

Co-ordination of sea & road exports: The individual should have at least 5 years working experience in the export field at an entry management level. S/he should be an expert in the export process and documentation required. S/he should possess the East African Customs Freight Forwarding Practising Certificate from KRA. S/he should be able to study L/Cs and process all the export documents required by the L/C.

  • Zero Incidence arising from Export Documentation
  • Reduced Costs in management of Export Goods Transportation
  • Zero Penalties arising from non compliance in Various Countries compliance to their Revenue Authority rules

Minimum Specifications:
  • Must be at least 30 years and above
  • Should possess a degree in a Social Science and a Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding would be an added advantage
  • Must have appropriate experience in Inter country trading, Documentation, Trading terms etc .
  • Should have a sound firm background in importing and Exporting goods and services.
  • Must demonstrate experience in managing a large team with a multiple activities and many large countries in east and central Africa.
  • Must have good communication skills- Both Written and Verbal and preferably Bi Lingual.
  • Must possess Good Business Acumen
