Our client
is the market leader of Natural Health Foods with a mission to create awareness
on healthy living and provide high quality healthy food products.
They seek
to recruit an Accountant
Assistant with a strong background in manufacturing, costing and
debt collection.
- Provide accounting support, while assuring compliance with financial & administrative policies and procedures, regulations and budget restrictions.
- Assist in the daily financial accounting procedures of projects including recording all cash, cheque and bank transfer transactions, maintain cash and bank ledgers, monitor cash advances and field expense reports and reconcile cash-on-hand.
- Posting of creditors invoices after confirmation of proper supporting documentation.
- Register all financial transactions in the accounting system and maintain accounting records according to agreed standards.
- Update and maintenance of the fixed assets register.
- Invoicing as per agreement and contracts with customers
- Undertake some of the monthly closing procedures including bank reconciliations, creditors’ reconciliations, staff accounts and petty cash audit.
- Maintain an accurate financial filing system of all documents relating to finance.
- Computation of statutory deductions and taxes – VAT, Withholding Tax, PAYE.
Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelors degree in a Finance field.
- Must have CPA(K).
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a prerequisite.
- Must have experience in costing and debt collection.
- Must have working knowledge on Quick books.
- Must have 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 40,000 - 45,000/=depending on
experience
