Kenya Tea Development Agency (MS) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of KTDA Holdings Ltd and a key player in the tea industry providing management services to the smallholder tea sub-sector for efficient production, processing and marketing of quality teas.

To ensure continued success and growth, we are seeking dynamic and highly talented individuals to join our management team in the following exciting and challenging position:

Regional Engineer
1 Position

Position Scope: Reporting to the Regional Manager for day to day operations and to the Maintenance Manager technically, the successful candidate will be responsible for bringing Engineering Services closer to and within immediate reach of KTDA Managed Factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a maintenance program for the allocated factories
  • Overseeing efficient utilization of available energy resources in order to minimize their costs.
  • Overseeing factory projects in the allocated factories
  • Carrying out machinery/process equipment audits in the factories and initiating contractor payment certificates.
  • Training factory engineering staff and assisting factories in recruitment interviews.
  • Advising factory Boards of Directors on pertinent engineering issues during the monthly Board meetings.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies:-
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Production/Agricultural Engineering;
  • Must be registered by the Engineering Board;
  • At least 5 years experience in factory machinery maintenance and auxiliary services, two (2) of which should be at a supervisory level;
  • Good Management skills;
  • High level of integrity;


Business Development Representative
1 Position

Position Scope: Reporting to the Manager – Marketing and Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating marketing and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking new market development through profiling of new clients.
  • Compiling and analyzing all market reports.
  • Conducting market/customer trend analysis of all direct sales on monthly basis in liaison with sales team.
  • Assisting in business follow ups after every marketing and Business Development trip to ensure actions have been taken
  • Assisting in various marketing projects with specific emphasis to branding and other marketing projects.
  • Coordinating with the relevant departments to facilitate marketing functions e.g. preparation of documentaries, preparation of brochures, customer visits
  • Assisting in planning for exhibitions, conferences/trade shows.
  • Liaising with promotional merchandise suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ordered merchandise.
  • Handling of new tea enquiries/sales leads effectively and converting them into sales for business development.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies:-
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing from a recognized institution
  • Diploma in Marketing is an added advantage
  • Two (2) years experience in marketing.


Risk Assurance & Systems Compliance Manager - Subsidiaries
1 Position

Position Scope: Reporting to the Group Head of Risk Assurance & Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordination, implementation and conclusion of audits for KTDA subsidiary and managed companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in developing risk based audit plans for the KTDA group of companies.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving risk and assurance management systems and processes.
  • Appraising risk management, internal controls and corporate governance processes.
  • Ensuring implementation of annual audit plan including approving re-assignments and monitoring resources and efficiencies.
  • Performing manager review of work done and reports.
  • Ensuring timely preparation of reports for senior management and audit committees.
  • Monitoring post-audit follow-up status.
  • Approving of audit programs and plans.
  • Preparing periodic reports on audit activities against targets and KPI’s.
  • Undertaking other audit and risk management activities as assigned.

Qualifications / Competencies / Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: -
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Business degree in Accounting
  • CPA (K) qualification
  • Certified Systems Information Auditor (CISA) is an added advantage
  • Seven (7) years Internal Audit experience with at least three (3) years at management level
  • Experience in use of audit softwares and analytical tools
