Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development, is an institute of Egerton
University mandated to conduct agricultural policy research in Kenya.
The
Institute is looking for highly motivated, proactive and service-oriented
individuals to fill the following position:
IT Administrator
The IT
Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and directing the Institute’s
Information Technology systems and ensuring support and maintenance of existing
infrastructure and applications.
Qualifications and Skills
The preferred
candidate should have the following:
- University degree in Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution
- At least five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Certification and membership in relevant professional bodies
- Ability to ensure effective management of, and efficient network and communication systems
- Ability to perform regular security and server monitoring and performance benchmarking
- Working knowledge of system analysis and design, networking, database management and IT security
- Ability to liaise with other units on network establishment and installations and facilitating training of operations for all users and support group
- Ensure safe custody of equipment and network system, and periodic service and maintenance of personal computers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and user service focus
A
competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
The
position will be based in Nairobi and carries with it a two (2) year renewable
contract.
