Saman Associates is currently in the process of recruiting a Sales & Business Development Intern for an international organization currently setting up in Kenya.

The incumbents will be responsible for the following:

  • Liaise with the Sales & Business Development Manager in the development of ideas and creation of offers Develop for direct sales and marketing the company’s products;
  • Create and maintain a prospect list using the company system and sales pipeline tool;
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries via mail, telephone, and personal visits;
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support;
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information;
  • Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys;
  • Qualify leads in order for sales to consistently have “warm” prospects;
  • Contributing to the business’ achievement of monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and sales;
  • Maintain and report on equipment and software suitability for direct marketing and sales reporting purposes;
  • Liaise and attend meetings with the Sales & Business Development Manager to perform duties and aid business and organizational development;
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:-
  • Bachelors degree in Sales or Marketing;
  • At least six (6) months business development or sales experience;
  • High level of proficiency in spoken and written and spoken English;
  • Excellent telephone manner and presentation;
  • Confident on the telephone with good manners;
  • Excellent Customer Service;
  • Experience selling products or services a bonus.
